Obituary for Steven Archie Whatley
Steven Archie Whatley(Steve), age 55 of LaGrange, passed away on July 16, 2023. He was born in LaGrange to Artis Wendell Whatley and the late Vera Mae Pike Whatley on April 27, 1968. Steve was a member of Hilyer Baptist Church . He loved to do anything outdoors , and was willing to give a helping hand to anyone. Also known as (Spot) Steve will always be remembered as a good father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who will forever be in our hearts and mind and will be truly missed. Until we meet again.
Mr. Whatley is survived by his father, Wendell Whatley; his children, Heather Palmore and Jeremy Whatley; his siblings, Sherri Messer (Jimmy), Bubba Whatley, Gary Whatley, and Josh Whatley; his grandchildren, Hunter Cummings, Tristan Cummings, and Terrance Palmore.
The family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter-Allen-Myhand on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM. The committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Meadoway Gardens in LaGrange. Pastor Cleve Moore will officiate the service.
