Mr. Roger Donald Bassett, age 75, of LaGrange, passed away on March 17, 2023. Mr. Bassett was born on March 4, 1948 in LaGrange to Jack Bassett and Vonceil Folds Powell. His father preceded him in death as well as a brother, Jimmy Bassett. Mr. Bassett proudly served his country in the United States Navy followed by many years at Tredegar as a Machinist.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Erlene Berry Bassett; mother, Vonceil Folds Powell; children, Renee Bassett and Craig Bassett; grandchildren, Brandon Bassett, MaKayla Bassett; Kristen Phay (William) and Hunter Bassett; great grandchildren, Liam Phay and Carter Phay; extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 pm.
