Mr. Ray Douglas Martin, age 78, of Aiken, South Carolina, formerly of LaGrange, passed away on March 5, 2023. Mr. Martin was born on January 8, 1945 in LaGrange to the late Harlen and Mae Bell Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a sister, Audrey Presnell. He was a Licensed Electrician and retired from Lucent Technologies. He was an avid outdoorsman and tournament fisherman. He enjoyed traveling all over the country hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Martin Skelton and Dana Michelle Jones (David); grandchildren, Sarah Jones, William Jones, James Bitrick (Monica) and Casey Hall; great-grandchildren, Kylee Bitrick and Elijah Bitrick; his first wife, LaJue Martin; several nephews, nieces and their children.

A committal Service will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date and the details of that service will be uploaded here once they become available.
