Mr. Michael Anthony Blackwell, age 71, of LaGrange, passed away on May 4, 2023. Michael was born on April 24, 1952 in Rapid City, South Dakota to the late Douglas Charles Blackwell and Jean Traut Blackwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers J.B. Blackwell and Dennis Blackwell. He worked for Blackwell’s Inc. in LaGrange as a Sales Representative and attended First Baptist Church on the Square.

Survivors include his spouse, Laurie Lane Cook; sister, Dianne Strete; brothers, Ted Blackwell and Barry Blackwell; his wife’s children, Joseph Kyle Cook (Jessica) and his children Maddox and Olivia, and Austin Kase Cook (Makinley) and his child, Katherine Lane; nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be announced.
