Obituary for Kathy Payne
Kathy Ann Payne, age 71, of LaGrange, passed away on February 12, 2023. She was born on October 8, 1951, to the late Robert Lee Payne and Sarah Hopson Payne in Alaska. She retired from Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies in LaGrange as an Assembly Worker. Kathy was a long-time member of New Life Apostolic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Alisha Mathis (James Marsh); grandchildren, Jeremy Mathis, Chris Mathis, and Schyanna Pittman; great-grandchildren, Liam Mathis and Jasper Mathis; nieces and nephews, Nicki Barradas (Fabian), and Toby Payne; extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Payne, and Roger Payne.
The family will have a graveside service beginning at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Long Cane Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Mike Gay. The family will gather at the grave prior to the service.
