Jennifer Elias passed away at West Georgia Medical Center on February 10, 2023. Jennifer is survived by her long time significant other, Mike Fickert, who currently lives in Roanoke, Alabama. Jennifer grew up with 2 sets of parents and is survived by her stepmother, Rosalie Swann and is preceded in death by her father, John W. Swann, her mother, Jennie Long and stepfather, Steward Long. Jennifer had 2 children and grew up with 5 siblings.
Jennifer grew up in Kettering, Ohio and graduated from Fairmont West High School. Jennifer had a large extended family and, as a child, she loved spending time with her cousins playing dress up, hide and seek, and making up dances to the most popular songs of that time. She loved to dance and sing, she was a “ham”. As a teenager, Jennifer always enjoyed the time she spent at the family farm in Lexington, KY. She had so many ideas of what she wanted to do when she got older and at one time had her mind set that she was going to be a truck driver and drive all over the world. Jennifer had many challenges throughout her adult life, but at the end of her life she found much comfort in the forgiveness that came through Jesus Christ. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned.
