Obituary for James "Billy" William Tucker

Mr. James William “Billy” Tucker, of Pine Mountain, passed away on November 20, 2022. He was born in Pine Mountain, Georgia on February 6, 1941 to the late James Tucker and Mary Chapman Faulkner. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tucker is preceded in death by his son, James Michael "Mike" Tucker and his brother, Elgie Tucker.

Mr. Tucker was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. He resided in the Oak Grove Community where he had an established cattle farm. Farming with his family was one of many hobbies Mr. Tucker enjoyed. He had a very successful racing career for over 20 years, along with owning and operating his own automobile shop for over 40 years, Tucker's Garage. He was a hard worker and above all, he loved his family.

Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Charlotte Tucker; his daughter, Pamela Ann "Pam" Ferguson (Lee); his sister, Rochelle Brooks (John); his grandchildren, Brandi Dailey (Thomas), Matthew Ferguson (Kristen), Britney Tucker, Christopher William “Will” Tucker, Dalton Tucker (Lauren Steele); his great grandchildren, Evan Dailey, Liam Dailey, Macy Dailey Grady Ferguson, Wade Ferguson, Waylan Cummings, Harper Lynn Evans, Conway Tucker, and Staley Tucker. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they make their way through this very challenging time.

The funeral service will be held at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter-Allen-Myhand on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until service time on Tuesday. The committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Oak Grove Congregational Church Cemetery in Pine Mountain. Pastor Donnie Benefield will officiate the service.
