Mrs. Elvie Mae Stitcher Wade, age 93, of LaGrange, passed away on April 1, 2023. Mrs. Wade was born on September 8, 1929 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Horace Edward Stitcher and Clara Mae Dewberry Stitcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hugh Wade; brother, Lawrence Stitcher; sisters, Wilmer Stitcher and Marie Cosley; grandson, Chris Wade. She was a loving mother that devoted her time caring for the needs of her family . She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children, Joseph Wade (Sharon), Rickey Wade (Peggy), Sharon James (Steve), Hugh Wade, Mark Wade (Arlene) and Linda Dukes (Benjie); sister, Shirley Moon (Buddy)grandchildren and their spouses, Karla Wade Richards (Tommy), Christy Wade Washington (Josh), Lynn Wade Thrailkill (Stan), Les Woody (Kandy), Steve Woody (Patricia), Tim Woody (Leann), Jeff Woody (April), Tamara Dukes, Kendall Dukes Jones (Terry), and Maggie Dukes Pritchett (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Oren Richards, Shylie Richards, Jesse Richards, Evan Thompson, Sam Washington, Henry Washington, Shelby Givins, Mallory Godfrey, Grant Thrailkill, Chris Woody (Karley), Caleb Woody, Brent Woody (Shelby), Kara James, Emily Hulsey, Jackson Massengill, Olivia Massengill, Kenleigh-Reese Jones, Levi Jones, Beckham Pritchett, Kanon Pritchett, Jillian Pritchett and Wilson Woody: numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Pastor Benjie Dukes officiating. Interment will follow at the Stitcher Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends beginning at noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
