Mr. Elbert Hugh Mobley, age 83, of LaGrange, passed away on May 5, 2023. Mr. Mobley was born on November 5, 1939 in Bartow County, Georgia to the late Moreland Mobley and Katinel Barfield Mobley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Mobley. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired as a Truck Driver for Milliken and Company.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Janette Marshall Mobley; children, Darlene Lee (Charles) and Chris Mobley (Karen); brother, Harold Mobley (Linda); sisters, Vivian Arrington and Joyce Beebe (Chuck); grandchildren, Matt Neighbors (Erin), Aaliah Mobley, Madison Mobley, Aiden Mobley and Ryan Mobley; great-grandchildren, Kadence Neighbors and Piper Neighbors; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel. Interment to follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 pm.
