Doris Marie Lucas McCurry, age 93, of LaGrange, passed away on, December 9, 2022. She was born on October 24, 1929 to the late Ernest Guen Lucas and Winnie Lee O’Neal in Franklin, Georgia. Mrs. McCurry was the Weaver Instructor at West Point Stevens Inc. for over 50 years. She was a faithful member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for 59 years and taught Sunday School there for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Harold McCurry; siblings, Ernestine Rice and Carey Lucas.

Survivors include her sons, Mike McCurry (Kathy) and Chris McCurry; grandchildren, Kelly Morgan (Jimmy), Amy Cindrick-May (Logan), and Adam McCurry (Lyndsey); great grandchildren, Drew, John, Matthew, Dylan, Lexi, Kellan, Addison, Nora Clark, and Oliver; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

The family will have visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. S.T. Janey officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
