Obituary for Charles (Chuck) Lee Osbahr

Mr. Charles Lee “Chuck” Osbahr, age 87, of LaGrange passed away on May 5, 2023. Charles was the son of the late Myron & Julia Osbahr of Allen, Nebraska. Mr. Osbahr was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harold and Clinton, and sisters Irma and Verna.

Mr. Osbahr was the owner-operator of Greenville Road Welding, a welding and construction company in LaGrange from 1967 to 1992. He started the business with his brother Myron Jr. and was later joined by his brother Clinton. In 1992, he sold the business and traveled the country with his wife for many years before settling back in LaGrange to be with his children. He was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Osbahr is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Marilyn Joy Powley Osbahr; their five children, Diane Wallace (Kenneth), Chuck Osbahr (Angela), Melanie Schultz (Kurt), Rhonda Herren (Andy), and Mike Osbahr. In addition, he is survived by his brothers Myron Jr. (Maureen), Donald, Ralph, Tom (Bea) and Richard (Esther), and by his sisters Myrna Gotch (Bill) and Ike Geiger (Dave); grandchildren Tonya Drummond (Pete), Phillip Schultz (Kristen), Chad Wallace (Cassidy), Benjamin Herren (Cassidy), Douglas Osbahr, Derek Osbahr, Jacob Schultz and Kalei Osbahr; great grandchildren Braxten Schultz, Alexis Carver, Kylie McClendon, Jaxson Herron, and Cambree Wallace; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 1518 S. Davis Road, LaGrange, on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens.
